Accessibility statement
Last reviewed: October 2026
Raijin Studios wants everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device, ability or assistive technology they use.
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across every page of this site. We build the same standard into the websites we make for clients.
How we test
- Automated checks on every build: every page is tested with the axe accessibility engine in both the dark and light themes, and a serious or critical issue fails the build.
- Keyboard navigation: all links, buttons, forms and the project estimator can be used without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator.
- Colour contrast: text colours are chosen to meet AA contrast ratios in both themes.
- Reduced motion and pausing: if your device asks for less motion, we turn off transitions and other animation across the site. The homepage storm is the exception: it keeps running, kept slow and soft. To stop it, press the "Pause weather" button in the hero, which stops all of the looping animation and remembers your choice on that device.
- Screen-reader structure: pages have a skip link, landmark regions, one main heading and labelled forms.
Automated tools do not catch everything, so we also test by hand.
Flashing and animation
The homepage hero shows simulated lightning: the clouds softly light up every few seconds, and the picture also has falling rain and a slowly turning ring of drums. The flashes fade in and out smoothly, are dim, and cover only part of the screen, but we have not tested them against the general flash thresholds in WCAG, so if you are sensitive to flashing or movement, press the "Pause weather" button in the hero at any time. It stops the flashes, the rain and the turning ring, and your choice is remembered. The storm keeps running even when your device is set to reduce motion, so please use that button; it starts paused when your browser asks to save data.
Known limitations
- The live demo previews on the homepage are scaled-down frames of our concept websites, which can be small to read. Use the "Open full screen" link to view a demo at its real size.
- The demo websites are fictional concept projects. We test them for accessibility, but they are not held to every part of this statement.
- The free audit tool shows scores returned by a third party, Google PageSpeed Insights, and we do not control how it is presented.
